About the caregiver
Hello pet parents! I am a proud local San Diegan born and raised here with a college degree and teaching credential. I predominantly teach preschool and kindergarten ages 3 to 5 years old. A great teacher exhibits great caregiving qualities for our youngest of minds. Teaching children has created a strong and dependable caregiving foundation within me to be observant, communicative and proactive about the quality of care I deliver to families. I was raised with dogs, cats and reptiles. My first pets were strays and mutts from the canyon by our home. We would take them to the shelter, try to find their homes and others we would adopt. When I started working in high school I would animal and house sit for family friends and parent's coworkers as they went out of town because I am reliable and consistent with quality care. I also have experience helping caregive for foster kittens and puppies from the shelter. I am experienced with large dog breeds such as cattle dogs, Labradors, Greyhounds, boxers and pit bull mixes, to name a few. Some smaller breeds I have interacted with are Beagles, Basset hounds, Pugs and Chihuahuas. Aside from children and animals I enjoy spending time with friends and family in the outdoors hiking, surfing and camping enjoying nature! I currently have a 12 year old foxhound named Honey and an American Tabby Siamese mix named Bailey.
